About Me

My name is Yahia Eltantawi. I was born on 2nd August 2015 in Cairo. Even though I now live in Sheffield, I still feel connected to where I was born. I live with my family, including my mum, dad, and my younger sister. My family is very important to me and always supports me in everything I do.

I am currently 10 years old and in Year 6 at school. I work hard in all my subjects and especially enjoy PE and Maths. I like Maths because I enjoy solving problems step by step, and I enjoy PE because I love being active and playing sports. The subject I find the most difficult is Art, but I always try my best and never give up.

I have been preparing hard for my SATs exams this year. I am already doing very well in my practice Grammar and Maths SATs, and in Reading I am achieving Greater Depth. I am proud of my progress, but I still want to improve even more. I enjoy challenging myself and working hard to become better.

Football

One of the biggest parts of my life is football. I am very passionate about the sport and enjoy both playing and watching it. I support Arsenal F.C., and my favourite footballer is Mohamed Salah because of his skill, determination, and work ethic.

I play as a striker for my team, Darnall Diamonds. I enjoy scoring goals and helping my team during matches. I would describe myself as an average player, but I always try to improve through training, teamwork, and learning from my mistakes.

Coding and Technology

Another thing I really enjoy is coding. I like learning how websites and technology work, and I enjoy building projects and solving problems creatively. I am currently working on my own website called eltantawis.org , which is about me, my dad, and the exciting things happening in our lives.

My dad is a big inspiration to me. He works in technology and is a CTO and co-founder of a company called Camlist. Seeing what he does motivates me because he builds real projects and works with technology every day. It makes me want to learn more about coding and follow a similar path in the future.

I also enjoy learning about websites and coding through platforms like MDN Web Docs and W3Schools .

Hobbies and Interests

When I am not at school, coding, or playing football, I enjoy relaxing in different ways. I like playing Nintendo and reading books, especially the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. So far, I have read 5 of the 18 books in order, and I enjoy the adventure, mythology, and characters in the stories.

My Goals

Some of my proudest achievements so far include doing well in school, being part of a football team, and learning coding at a young age. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I am always trying to improve step by step.

Looking ahead, I want to continue succeeding in school, improve in football and coding, and build exciting things in technology. My biggest dream in life is to go to Jannah, which in Islam means Paradise or Heaven. This is very important to me and motivates me to become the best version of myself every day
