From a young age, AlSayed Gamal was passionate about technology, software engineering, and solving complex problems through innovation. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong career focused on building scalable systems, leading engineering teams, and creating products capable of making a real-world impact. Over the years, he developed deep expertise in backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices, becoming known for combining technical excellence with strong leadership.
Throughout his career, AlSayed worked across multiple engineering and leadership roles, contributing to a wide range of software products and digital platforms. His experience covered everything from web and mobile technologies to scalable cloud-native systems and microservices architecture. He became especially passionate about building reliable platforms capable of supporting rapid growth while maintaining strong performance and user experience.
In 2020, AlSayed co-founded Camlist, a video-first pet marketplace designed to improve safety, trust, and transparency in pet rehoming. As CTO and Co-Founder, he led the company’s technical vision and engineering strategy, helping build the infrastructure and systems behind the platform’s rapid early growth. Camlist gained international attention, including support from Y Combinator and successful fundraising rounds as the company expanded its reach in the UK pet marketplace industry.
As Chief Technology Officer, AlSayed was responsible for designing scalable backend systems, managing engineering operations, and leading technical teams through fast-paced startup growth. His work focused not only on building technology but also on creating a culture of innovation, mentorship, and continuous learning within the company. Former team members frequently described him as a supportive leader and mentor who helped engineers grow both technically and professionally.
Although Camlist eventually closed operations, the experience became an important chapter in his journey as a founder and engineering leader. Rather than seeing it as failure, AlSayed viewed the experience as a valuable lesson in resilience, adaptability, and innovation under pressure — lessons that continued shaping his approach to technology and leadership.
Today, AlSayed works at Vesynta as Head of Software Engineering, where he focuses on healthcare technology and precision dosing systems aimed at improving patient outcomes through advanced software solutions. His current work combines his passion for scalable engineering with meaningful real-world impact in the healthcare sector.
Outside of work, AlSayed remains passionate about mentoring engineers, exploring emerging technologies, and continuously learning. He is also an active writer and technology mentor, sharing insights on software architecture, engineering leadership, cloud systems, and modern development practices.
His journey reflects the mindset he has carried throughout his career: technology is not only about building software, but about creating systems, teams, and ideas capable of improving people’s lives.
